Two North Hills teams were in action on Thursday as the WPIAL Quarterfinals took place.
The girls’ softball team played first, traveling to Fox Chapel to take on Greater Latrobe. The girls started fast and picked up a dominating 7-0 win to advance to the semifinals.
Lacrosse went to Quaker Valley to play the second North Hills playoff game of the day. The boys faced an early deficit and were unable to pick up a win.
Now, the softball team will direct its attention to Armstrong, its WPIAL Semifinals opponent. That game will be at 3:00 PM at Mars on Tuesday, May 24, and it will be a rematch of last season’s WPIAL championship game and PIAA semifinal game.
Congratulations to the boys’ lacrosse team on a great season, and good luck to the softball team in the next round!
