Several fall sports teams at North Hills officially begin their seasons this week, but some have already been in action. Here's how our teams performed last week.

Boys’ Golf

Both the JV and varsity teams were in action last week. With some tough opponents on the schedule to start the year, both teams got off to a slow start but are showing improvement with each match.

Girls’ Tennis

Varsity tennis started fast this season, earning a 5-0 win in their first match of the season. On Wednesday, the team celebrated the grand re-opening of the high school tennis courts, highlighted by a great ceremony from new head coach Amy Myers.

Football

The varsity team went on the road for its Week 1 matchup. Last year’s section co-champions opened this season at Bethel Park in a non-section tilt. North Hills played a tight game but ultimately lost, 22-10.

JV football took the field at home on Saturday morning against Bethel Park and lost 35-18.

Girls’ Volleyball

The volleyball team traveled to Canon-McMillan on Saturday morning for the Canon Mac Tournament where they finished second. Congratulations on a great tournament!

Now, as we turn our attention toward the first full week of the school year, soccer and cross country will join the other fall teams in beginning their regular season schedules. Here are the home events for the upcoming week:
