Last week’s WPIAL Championships saw a plethora of North Hills athletes in action, competing against the best in the district.

In swimming, nearly every individual swimmer and relay team improved on their times from this season. In fact, the boys’ 200 medley relay set a new school record with a time of 1:39.70.

The lone state qualifier from the swim teams is Dane Fazio, who earned an eighth-place finish at the WPIAL Championships in the 100 breaststroke.

On the wrestling side, six wrestlers competed over the weekend, and Evan Letky (189 lbs) was the top finisher, as he came in eighth place.
