Kayden Lightner and Abby Sutton have been named Student-Athletes of the Month.

Lightner, a junior on the track and field team, has been a top performer all spring. He recently competed in the WPIAL Individual Championships and earned two medals, one of which was silver. As a result, he is a PIAA qualifier.

Off the track, Lightner has a 4.15 GPA while taking on a course load that includes two AP classes and two honors classes.

Sutton, a sophomore on the softball team, was thrust into a new role this season and thrived. In her first varsity season on the mound, Sutton helped guide North Hills to a section championship while batting .464 with eight home runs and earning Big 56 First Team All-Section recognition.

In the classroom, Sutton has posted a 4.05 GPA. Her class schedule is highlighted by four honors courses.
