SENECA VALLEY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 54
Seneca Valley came on strong down the stretch and handed the North Hills 9th grade boys basketball team a 54-45 defeat Wednesday at the Senior High gym.
North Hills trailed by 27-21 at halftime, but came back and took a 33-32 lead after three quarters. The game was close midway through the fourth quarter, but Seneca Valley was able to convert a few baskets and make free throws down the stretch. Seneca Valley was 10 of 10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
Nick Richter had an excellent game for North HIlls, scoring a game-high 22 points. Mike Murphy added 12.
North HIlls is next in action Friday at Fox Chapel.
